Divine Plan—affectionately known as Divine—is a 2004 Thoroughbred mare with the kind of frame people never forget: tall, elegant, and all legs. She enjoyed a successful racing career, earning an impressive $210,337 on the track before transitioning into life as a broodmare, where she raised six foals of her own.

Divine joined our program in 2021 and has since raised five orphan foals, each one benefitting from her calm confidence and seasoned maternal instincts. She is a steady, trustworthy presence for her babies—attentive, patient, and quietly devoted.

Divine does have some notoriously large ankles, and while they aren’t the prettiest, they rarely bother her. We monitor her comfort closely, and for now she remains an exceptional nurse mare who keeps up easily with her little ones.

When the day comes that her ankles begin to slow her down, Divine will retire gracefully and will call CSM home for life—loved, protected, and appreciated for everything she has given.
