Anna Gregor

Anna's lifelong involvement with horses began through determination and hard work rather than family connections or financial resources. As a young rider, she worked at multiple barns to earn opportunities for lessons, training, and competition, gaining experience in hunter/EQ and western disciplines while learning and competing through 4-H, VHSA, IHSA programs before later expanding to regional and national level competition.

Her equine career has spanned nearly every aspect of the industry. She has trained horses, coached riders, operated her own training business, managed large lesson and training programs, worked for prominent breeding and training operations, and served in a variety of horse show leadership roles, including positions as clinician, steward, announcer, and judge. She also served as a consultant for the Missouri Fox Trotting Horse Breed Association helping improve their judge certification program, and served as assistant coach to a western IHSA team and two collegiate judging teams. Her experience and and contributions have led to opportunities working a numerous events including top Clinics, IHSA shows, numerous Breed Shows, US Arabian Nationals, every MO Ranch Horse Association show for two consecutive seasons, and even the Saddle Seat World Cup Trials.

Anna earned both a Bachelor of Science in Equine Science and a Master of Education in Equestrian Education from William Woods University, where she graduated with honors and held a Graduate Assistantship in the President's Office and is currently pursuing an Executive MBA in Strategic Leadership.

In addition to her equine background, Anna brings extensive nonprofit leadership and development experience. She has volunteered with equine rescues, equine-assisted therapy programs, and educational institutions, and has spent the past six years working full-time in the nonprofit sector. Her experience includes board governance, organizational development, fundraising, grant management, executive leadership, administration, and strategic planning. Throughout her short but impactful nonprofit career, she has managed millions of dollars in grant funding, raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for nonprofit organizations, and served as a director of fund development, interim executive director, consultant, and funder.

Today, Anna marries her two passions running a consulting practice specializing in nonprofits and startups, with a particular focus on equine and service-based organizations. As a founding Member of Cold Spring Mares, she has helped guide the organization's board development, organizational foundation, fundraising strategy, and growth.

She remains deeply committed to the mission because it uniquely combines her lifelong passion for horses with her dedication to nonprofit leadership. Her focus is on ensuring sustainable operations, transparent stewardship, strong governance, and meaningful community partnerships that support both the mares and the long-term success of the organization.
