Gracie is one of our OG mares, born in 2009 and a cherished part of our program since 2019. In her years with us, she has raised eight orphan foals, proving time and time again that Thoroughbreds absolutely do make exceptional nurse mares.

Her career began on the racetrack, where she earned $24,540, before transitioning into life as a polo pony—a position she excelled in until a career-ending ankle injury brought her competitive days to an end. She then raised a foal of her own before being donated to our program, where she has truly thrived.

With her easy, been-there-done-that personality, Gracie stepped into nurse mare life effortlessly. She is steady, reliable, and endlessly patient—qualities that make her a trusted mother for any foal in need. She remains one of our most seasoned and dependable mares.
