Ellie Williams
Ellie Williams developed a passion for horses from an early age, growing up primarily in the hunter/jumper world as the daughter of a professional trainer. Spending countless hours in the barn and showing her experiences sparked an interest in combining her lifelong love of the equine industry with a career in marketing. In addition to growing up in the horse industry Ellie's commitment to agriculture and leadership was given a place to thrive through the National FFA Organization, where she competed extensively in equine-related events and was honored as the National Proficiency Award Winner in the Equine Placement division, recognizing excellence in equine industry experience.
Ellie is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing at Georgia Southwestern State University, where she focuses on strategic communications, digital marketing, and branding. She has developed experience in social media management, content creation, graphic design, donor communications, fundraising campaigns, and brand development, with a passion for helping mission-driven organizations strengthen their impact through thoughtful storytelling and community engagement.
Throughout her career, Ellie has gained experience across a wide range of equine disciplines and operations. She has helped manage barns, assisted with equine educational programming as an Assistant Horse Camp Instructor for the Georgia FFA-FCCLA Center, spent multiple years working as a wrangler on film productions featuring horses, and volunteered with several equestrian nonprofit organizations and remains committed to supporting initiatives that improve horse welfare, education, and public engagement. Her professional marketing experience extends beyond the nonprofit sector, having provided marketing support for SeaGlass Business Solutions and the South Carolina Mustang TIP Challenge.
In addition to her marketing work, Ellie has been actively involved in breeding and developing young horses, with a particular passion for Off-the-Track Thoroughbreds and Mustangs. She has developed a small breeding program and enjoys helping horses transition into successful second careers through thoughtful training and management she has a diverse background across performance horses, in hunter/jumpers, eventing, reining, vaulting, ranch horse, sorting, and obstacles.
As Intern Team Lead and a board member of ColdSpring Mares, Inc., Ellie oversees the organization's marketing strategy, intern team, and public outreach efforts. She has led the development of fundraising campaigns, manages social media, coordinates intern marketing initiatives, and works to expand the organization's reach while maintaining a consistent and professional brand. She has played a key role in developing educational materials, marketing materials, intern programming, and campaigns supporting programs such as Give4Marion and other annual fundraising initiatives.
Ellie is passionate about educating the public about ethical nurse mare practices and advocating for transparency within the equine industry. She believes meaningful marketing goes beyond promotion and inspires lasting support for horses in need. Through her work with ColdSpring Mares, she is committed to helping advance the organization's mission of ensuring every foal has the opportunity to thrive while promoting ethical, sustainable solutions for the equine industry.
